About Me
I love creating things, it’s something I do nearly every day! Being able to share these skills and techniques with others, especially when part of a joyful celebration such as a birthday or hen party is a really special experience that I feel lucky to be part of. It’s a great way to wind down, connect with each other and create great memories. I look forward to meeting even more lovely people as I continue teaching the fab and fun Crafty Hen sessions!
My Favourite Things
I love being by the ocean, sea swimming and gaining inspiration from the pebbles and shells in Brighton. I also love travelling; I’ve backpacked through South America and visited Japan and Berlin. I really enjoy knitting, slow stitching and designing clothing. Not only are creative hobbies great for our brains but I also think it’s important for us to understand what goes into making the things we buy.
My Area of Expertise
Textiles, Jewellery and Ceramics! I’ve studied them all at different times in my creative career, but currently I make quilts, tapestries, embroidered works using found objects such as shells, and I create 3 dimensional beaded sculptures inspired by insects and the natural world. My work has been used in editorial photoshoots, theatre shows, festivals, and sold internationally.
Favourite Session
Patchwork, though each one is super fun!
