This Autumn season has been one for the record books! With a line up of new sessions, it’s been hard to pick a favorite. Now, as the festive session comes back around, our office is transitioning from spooky sights to sparkling glitter and the fun is just beginning.
New for the 2026 season was our ceramic pumpkin painting, which was a terrifying triumph!
From faces to florals these workshops were packed with colour and a cozy Autumn atmosphere.
While lantern painting happens year round, during the Autumn months it truly shines. Our mix of transparent and opaque glass paints gives you the opportunity to play with lights and shadows to create a true master piece. Then, light them up with battery powered tea lights to instantly see your creation come to life.
The fun does not stop in Autumn. Now that we are approaching December, we swap glass lanterns for glass baubles. Our Glass bauble painting session gives you the opportunity to paint 3 baubles anyway you like. We bring the paint, all you need to do is find your inner artist and get creative. Whether your Christmas tree has a strict colour scheme, like mine, or is a multi-coloured rainbow, everyone has the opportunity to leave with something they will display with pride year after year.
Over the last year, we have introduced our candle painting session to roaring success. What we love about this session is the endless possibilities. Whether themed or not, candle painting is the perfect cosy craft that will be the light that gets you through the darker months. This autumn we saw spooky halloween designs and were delighted by Diwali rangoli patterns.
Now, as Christmas approaches, our trio of candle sessions continue to shine. While some Christmas parties can be hectic, sometimes it is nice to slow down and have a relaxing Christmas wind down. While painting these candles we recommend warm mulled wine, festive music and cozy afternoons.
While The Crafty Hen cannot guarantee it will not be another rainy Christmas, we can promise these candles will always be a hit!
Pulling up to take centre stage this year is our updated eco cracker session. It is always exciting when we introduce a new session but giving a session a makeover is just as fun! At The Crafty Hen office, it was our turn to get creative as we got the chance to experiment and create new examples. What we liked about it were the endless possibilities and it was almost impossible to stop. My favorite were the dried orange slices that brought a bright pop of colour to the crackers with the bonus of the sweet orange scent. It’s safe to say that our Christmas table will be as decked out as yours.
