Which is why our Bunting Making partiesare one of our favourite sessions to run - as well as being one of our most popular crafty workshops for hen parties, birthdaysand baby showers alike.
The more personalised the bunting the better! Which is why all our groups get to request the exact colour scheme and theme of the bunting they would like to make. Whether that means co-ordinating to the all important wedding colours, or working on bespoke bunting to match baby's new bedroom. All of which gives us an insight in to the trends of bunting and popular colour combinations through the year. Moving on from the pastel tones of 2015, this year we've noticed a lot more bolder colour schemes for weddings. Including sunflower yellow and royal navy, and vintage orange in retro prints!
Dusky tones have proven to be a hit this year, as we predicted with the help of Pantone's colours of 2016. But we're also surprised with so many requests for fresh green tones coming through, moving on from last years popular choice of mint.
Without a doubt, metallics have proven to be a big bunting trend for 2016 too. From silver to copper to gold, we can certainly see the appeal of these uplifting fabrics - perfect for adding a touch of class to any string of bunting.
